Event - Year 6 at the Houses of Parliament
22 June 2012
On Friday 22nd June Year 6 went on a very special trip to London. We set off very early in the morning and travelled down to London by coach. When we arrived we walked past Horse Guards Parade and Downing Street before going into the Houses of Parliament.
In the Houses of Parliament we went into the House of Commons and the House of Lords and learned about how a bill/law gets passed. We then took part in a very interesting workshop about how to change things.
Finally we all then boarded the London Eye and had a magical view of the town of London before returning to the coach and driving passed Buckingham Palace.
Year 6 had a really amazing day in London, one which we are sure they will remember for many years to come.
