Event - Eco-Systems in a Shoe Box

March 2012

Year 6 have been studying how eco-systems work since Christmas and have made their own eco-system in a shoe box.

To do this they hade to design a sustainable eco-system where all creatures and plants could survive together before challenging others in the class to test them to see if their system would work.

The children really enjoyed making the boxes and learned a great deal about interdependence and adaptability from each other.

The children really enjoyed the project.

Everyone worked together as a team.

Some of the ideas were fantastic!
