Event - World Book Poetry Performances
5 and 6 March 2015
For World Book Day the children from all year groups performed some of the poetry they had been learning in our poetry week before the half term holiday.
All of the children recited and performed poems for the rest of the school and for their parents.
Nursery performed Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and The Wheels on the Bus. |
Reception performed Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy. |
|
Year 1 performed poems and tongue twisters some of which they had written themselves. |
Year 2 told us what happened when a teacher stayed in bed and sent her animals to school instead! |
|
Year 3 children performed a performance poem by John Foster. |
Year 4 used drums to perform their poem – they even recited a poem backwards. |
|
Year 5 performed a poem called Don’t! |
Year 6 shared a narrative poem based on the story of The Pied Piper! |
