Event - Stations of the Cross Assemblies

During Lent this year the children at St Joseph’s are learning more about the Stations of the Cross.

During the Fridays in Lent children are taking it in turns to walk the Stations of the Cross which we have around the school and during special assemblies the children are learning more about Jesus’ journey.

During Lent the teachers are sharing the special assemblies and taking it in turns to teach the children about each of the stations. Mr Hinton began the assemblies looking at Station 1 and during the weeks in Lent the children will look at each Station and place purple footprints in the hall showing our journey through Lent towards the Resurrection Cross which will be completed when we return after the Easter holidays.

All of the children really enjoy the assemblies and are gaining a deeper understanding of the Stations of the Cross during Lent this year.
