Event - Poetry Week Celebration

On Friday 12th February St Joseph’s held a special Poetry Week celebration where children from Nursery through to Year 6 recited poetry that they had learned during the week.
Also during the week the children read, wrote and performed a variety of poems in their English lessons.
The children all performed with such confidence we are very proud of them all.
 Nursery shared nursery rhymes. |
 Reception class performed a rap that they had written themselves. |

 Year 1 recited some traditional poetry. |
 Year 2 performed Please Mrs Butler. |

 Year 3 shared one of their favourite raps. |
 Year 4 performed a poem to a rhythm. |

 Year 5 recited a traditional poem. |
 Finally Year 6 performed the poem the Mad Professors Daughter! |
