Event - Anti-Bullying Assembly

18 November 2016

On Friday 18th November we held a special assembly to share some of the work the children have completed during anti-bullying. Anti-racism and anti cyber-bullying week in school.

The week began on Monday when we held our launch assembly and revealed the message for this week’s anti-bullying week which is Power for Good.

Every class have been focussing on anti-bullying work this week and our Friday assembly gave us a chance to share some of the things we have done.

All of the children (including Year 6 who were holding a class Liturgy with their parents during the assembly) made an anti-bullying promise. All the promises were linked together to create our 2016 Anti-Bullying chain which will hang in the hall to remind of our promises throughout the year.

In Nursery the children made posters about kind hands, kind feet and kind words.

Reception children thought about how they could use their hands, feet and voices in a kind ways.

Year 1 changed the lyrics to one of our favourite songs to refelect anti-bullying week.

Year 2 shared the Worry Boxes that they have made.

Year 3 shared role-plays which focused on always telling and adult if someone is being unkind to you.

Year 4 shared some poems all about how people can feel when they are being bullied and how telling an adult helps.

Year 5 ended our assembly by sharing some of the comic strips and poster they had created during the week.
