On Friday 15th November we presented the second round of our Reading Around the World medals to children who have successfully reaching the first, second, third and even fourth destination on their journey!
Everyone has a special Reading Passport with six journeys to complete!
For every journey there are a number of ‘jumps’ to get to a destination. Children colour each ‘jump’ or spot on their passport for every 10 minutes of reading they complete at home!
When children reach a new destination Year 6 will meet with each child to discuss the book they have been reading and recommend if they will receive a special badge with the flag of the destination on it in assembly!
When children have been around the world they will be presented with a special certificate and a £5 gift voucher!
Everyone gets the chance to go once around the world and complete the challenge once a year… so they have plenty of time to complete the challenge!
