Today, Wednesday 9th October is the feast day of Blessed John Henry Newman who will be made a Saint on Sunday 13th October by Pope Francis.
He is the first British person to be made a saint in 50 yrs and lived in Birmingham.
To recognise this important event we held a special assembly to learn all about Blessed John Henry Newman and the miracles he performed in order to be made a saint. The children have also been given special prayer cards as a gift from the school in recognition of this special event.
