On Monday 17th September following the Gospel assembly the children watched a short video which promoted National Recycling Week which is this week. The video showed lots of people taking in part in things to help conserve the world.
At St Joseph’s we believe that we should do all we can to help look after God’s creation and are making a big effort to recycle more of our paper and cardboard. Each of the classrooms now has a general waste and a green recycling bin which helps to remind us that even in the bible we are told how important it is not to pollute the beautiful world that God gave us.
Each class is also developing the role of Creation Guardians – children who turn off lights, check the recycling and take on other jobs in the school to help us protect the wonderful world given to us by God.
