Our lovely display to celebrate Mary’s birthday!
On Friday 7th September during our merit assembly we celebrated Mary’s birthday which is tomorrow (Saturday 8th September).
First of all we reminded ourselves why Mary is so special along with watching a short video which showed the annunciation.
All of the children in the school had coloured beautiful flowers to give to Our Lady on her birthday which were brought up to the front of the hall to create a lovely display.
Year 6 children then led us in praying the traditional prayer Hail Holy Queen.
One child commented, “We bring flowers to Mary to show that we love her.”
