Remembrance Liturgy
Today, as we come to the end of November, we held a special remembrance Liturgy. The names of people we wanted to remember were added to class hearts and shared with our school family as we prayed, sang and shared gospel readings together.

Year 4 led Mass
Thank you to Year 4 for leading Mass this morning. Wonderful reading and animated acting to help us understand the gospel and the important message that we can all change and be better people for God.

Anti-Bullying Week
The children have completed some lovely anti-bullying work this week linked to the importance of Respect!

Fundamental British Values
Children have been thinking about Fundamental British Values this wee and created some excellent work to show off their learning!

Anti-Bullying Session
Year 5 enjoyed their session with Loudmouth Education and Training this week. The session focused on different types of bullying, how to get help and mental wellbeing.

Special Visitors
Today the Nursery children and children from Joseph’s Jigsaw had some very special visitors! The children all had the opportunity to hold, stroke and touch some beautiful animals including Colin the cockroach, a snake, guinea pig, honey bear and owl! The children all...

Year 5 Assembly
Year 5 did a wonderful job of leading our assembly this morning. The children shared all of their learning about Universal Children’s Day and linked it to Anti-bullying week and British Values which have been our focus in school this week. Well done children!

Year 5 Mass
Thank you to Year 5 for leading our whole school Mass this morning. Following Mass we talked about how by serving each other we are serving God.

Odd Socks Day!
Lots of children wore odd socks to school today to highlight that we’re all special and unique! This is one of the activities we’re taking part in during Anti-bullying week as we learn about British Values too!

Remembrance Day
So very proud of the children for taking part in the 1 minute silence today. We learned all about Remembrance Day and why people wear poppies before remembering those who made, and continue to make, the ultimate sacrifice.

Rosary Project
We have been blown away by the Rosary projects that have been created by our children – so much so that we held an exhibition to shown them off! Well done children – AMAZING!!!

In November, We Remember
In November we remember. To remember those who have died and gone to be with Jesus we have been writing their names on brightly coloured strips and decorating the front of our school.

Sparx Visit
Year 4 enjoyed their visit from Sparx Firefighters! The children learned about how to stay safe and what to do in the event of a fire at home.

Year 6 Mass
Thank you to Year 6 who led our whole school Mass today! The Gospel reminded us that we’re all invited to the Kingdom of Heaven, we just have to make the right choices to get there!

Joe’s Gym
This morning the school council from Year 5 opened Joe’s Gym! This is a project which started with Year 5 children visiting our local leisure centre and writing about how we should have our own gym at school!

Poetry Recital
A BIG well done to the children from Joseph’s Jigsaw, Nursery, Reception and Years 1 -6 this afternoon for their wonderful poetry recitals! It was lovely to see so many happy, confident children proudly sharing their poems!

St Joseph’s Experiences
We’ve been thinking about the experiences we’d like children to have during their time at St Joseph’s. We’ve made a list of exciting experiences we promise to offer and shared some ideas of activities which can be done at home too!

Prayer Bags
Year 5 have taken home their Rosary themed prayer bags today. We can’t wait to hear how they have shared them with their family!
