Thank you to Bishop Milner Catholic College for inviting our Year 6 children to watch their performance of Matilda! The children had a wonderful time and were so impressed at the production!

Thank you to Year 5 who led our Mass this morning celebrated by Fr Emmanuel. We were reminded about the importance of forgiveness and how we can always as God to help us forgive others - even when it's difficult.

Some of our staff were out and about again this morning - giving up their time to serve a mission greater than themselves - by litter picking in the local area. Following their service they had a little time to enjoy a nice warm drink too!

Our Science Fair was a HUGE success yesterday! Thank you to our very creative children and to all the parents that came to look at the projects!

All the children had a guess / counted the number of mini Jesus’ placed around school this Lent and we have a winner! The total number was 84 and our Year 4 winner has won a beautiful kite 🪁 to fly in celebration!

Stations of the Cross

During Prayer and Worship today we began our Journey to the Cross together. Walking, pausing and praying at each station of the cross. After each station we display a pair of purple footprints to remind us of our time with Jesus.

Last week we celebrated Brilliant in Britain Week! The children learned lots about the culture, capital cities, special holidays and traditions of a range of different countries. We think Reception class did a wonderful job of decorating flags!

Reflexions

Reflexions were in for Year 5 yesterday hosting a workshop all about friendships and mental health. They learnt about boundaries and techniques they can use, and what makes a good friend.

Treasure Within

Today we welcomed RISE Theatre into school to share the day with us! We took on their challenge of finding the treasures within us and how to use them! The children really enjoyed building on their already deep knowledge about the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

As we journey through the Lent the staff have been giving up their time to help the local community by spending time litter picking. Following the litter pick there’s time to enjoy a drink together and reflect on their Lenten journey.
