Event - Vocations Week

18 May 2015

The week beginning Monday 18th May was Vocations Week at St Joseph’s.

All the children were learning about vacations and how God calls us all in different ways t do different things. During the week we had lots of visitors who came in to talk about their vocations.

To end the week in school we held a special celebration assembly where parents were invited to see some of the things the children had been learning.

Nursery presented the posters they had made showing how we are called to have kind hands, kind feet and kind words. Reception class thought about the vocations they might be called to follow in the future and dressed up. Year 1 shared a song they had written about vocations and we played the game of ‘Guess my Vocation’. Year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 talked about how the visitors during the week had inspired them and made them think of all the vocations they made me called to follow in the future.

Vocations was once again a lovely week in school and we would like to say a big thank you to all of the visitors who came into school.
